The household goods business consists of oral care products, skin care products, hair care products, laundry products, home care products, and paper products, etc., and they together are contributing to create more comfortable and healthier living.
The household goods business started in 1954 with the production of toothpaste products. With the combination of latest technology and Asian tradition, LG Household & Health Care developed bamboo salt toothpaste in 1990's, and also acquired the nation's very first JIS mark for synthesis detergent and has been acknowledged for leading technology. The household goods business produces products in six different categories:

1. Oral care products such as toothpastes and toothbrushes
2. Skin care products such as soaps and body cleansers
3. Hair care products including shampoos, conditioners, hair styling products
4. Laundry products such as detergents and fabric softeners
5. Paper products like disposable diapers and wet tissues
6. Household cleaning products such as kitchen and bathroom cleansers
Aside from the above, production and sales of raw materials, such as stearin, glycerin, etc., which are the products to provide expedient measures for consumers' lives are in force.

Household goods were continually premiumized through the launch of differentiated new types of products with a high level of function. For example, we introduced products leading market trends such as the ¡®Elastine Ihee¡¯ shampoo and ¡®Bamboo Salt Tiger Herb¡¯ toothpaste. The eco-friendly andconvenient ¡®Saffron 10X¡¯ fabric softener and the ¡®Who pooped on my toothbrush¡¯ toothpaste, products with differentiated concepts, were also introduced. In addition, to deal with consumer trends in preferred products with a reasonable quality and low price, we launched HEXA goods (a new type of product with a maintained quality and low price made possible through cost innovations.) Moreover, we conducted differentiated strategies for each distribution channel to strengthen our competitiveness. Also, we achieved constant growth by concentrating our competences on ¡®Unicham¡¯, ¡®Beyond¡¯ and ¡®Danone¡¯, new driving forces of growth.

In 1993, LG Household & Health Care opened the first household goods store owned by Korean nationality in Guang Dong province, China. Moreover, also by setting up Beijing LG Household joint venture, it has targeted itself to be one of the top 10 household goods manufacturers in the world, and is continually working hard to reach the goal.
