LG H&H Co., Ltd. manages greenhouse gas emissions every year through verification by external institu-tions and complies with the greenhouse gas target management system, which is a national energy/greenhouse gas regulation. In addition, we established mid- to long-term greenhouse gas reduction targets by applying the recom-mended IPCC target to limit the global average temperature increase to 1.5¡É or less. To achieve the established goal, our own technology department, composed of energy experts, continues to make efforts to minimize greenhouse gases generated from product production by managing energy consumption at home and abroad by introducing high-efficiency facilities and energy reduction technologies and improving process efficiency.
LG H&H Co., Ltd. will achieve our goal of carbon neutrality in 2050 by converting energy used in the workplace into renewable energy. To reduce greenhouse gas emission in our major products, cosmetics, household goods, and beverage manufacturing processes, we plan to expand the ratio of electricity used to renewable energy. solar power generation facilities will be introduced to workplaces by 2025 and hydrogen fuel cells will be introduced
by 2030. Review the financial investment and carbon capture and storage technology which call CCUS in the long run. In addition, we will continue to review new renewable energy technologies for apply them to additional and new workplaces.
LG H&H Co., Ltd. has set a goal of converting all owned and leased vehicles used by our company to electric and hydrogen vehicles by 2035.
By 2030, less than 2.5 tons of vehicles will be replaced with electric and hydrogen vehicles, and vehicles exceeding
2.5 tons will be replaced by 2035 considering the time of mass production following the introduction of automobile manufacturing technology. In addition, by introducing new and renewable energy generation facilities such as solar power inside the workplace, we plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles by 100% in the future by operating facilities that can supply electric vehicles on their own.
