LG Household & Health Care Reports Record High First Quarter Results
Sales 2.0tr won (+7.4% yoy), Operating Profit 371bn won (+11.0% yoy)
April 22, 2021 – In 1Q 2021, LG Household & Health Care, Ltd. (CEO: Suk Cha) delivered record high first quarter results despite persisting difficult business environment caused by COVID-19. The Company reported 2.0tr won in sales (+7.4% yoy), 371bn won in operating profit (+11.0% yoy) and 259bn won in net profit (+10.5% yoy).
Beauty sales turned to growth for the first time since the outbreak of COVID-19 led by continued growth of overseas business based on strong customer preference for luxury brands. HDB, which had a high base burden due to the surge in demand for hygiene products last year, achieved solid results as premium brands continued to grow. Refreshment continued stable growth thanks to the performance of major brands with strong brand awareness. The ‘Total Beauty’ business, Beauty combined with Daily Beauty, achieved 1.5tr won in sales, and 306bn won in operating profit increasing 10.1% and 14.1% yoy respectively.
Sales has increased for sixty-one quarters since 3Q 2005, and operating profit has increased for sixty-four quarters since 1Q 2005.
