July 28, 2015 – LG Household & Health Care, Ltd. (CEO: Suk Cha) announced today the acquisition of 70% of Zenisce Co., Ltd (Zenisce), Korean color cosmetics OEM•ODM company, in order to enhance color cosmetics technology and secure product supply.

Zenisce, established in October 2001, develops and manufactures color cosmetics, but does not have its own cosmetics brand. In FY2014, Zenisce recorded sales of 17.9bn won, and operating profit of 1.1bn won. Zenisce owns facilities for production, content filing, compression and packaging processes, and has strength in manufacturing lipstick, cushion products, and powder, which mostly require manual process.

Through the acquisition, LG H&H can increase color cosmetic business competitiveness in Korea and China through (1) launch of innovative product through strengthened formula internalization, (2) stable procurement of product supply, and (3) improved profitability from lower cost.
